What’s a Country that’s at the Top of My Bucket List?

What’s a country that’s at the top of your bucket list?

The concept of a bucket list has always intrigued me. The movie isn’t all that memorable, but then I don’t know if I ever actually sat down and watched it. Basically, it is the idea that you have a list written or just in your mind of things you would like to see or do before you die. Honestly, I have done so little traveling that most countries would be on the list except the US and Canada. And, there are a lot of places I have never been to in those places that I would love to see still.

The top of the list for me is still Sicily. Part of my heritage is from there. I am an American mutt, but that particular line isn’t that far removed although I feel like none of the culture except a love for pasta was passed down to me. I would like to experience it first hand before I die. I would like to visit the village and just breathe the air knowing that the sky and the stars and the views were seen by some of my ancestors. It is an intriguing thought.

There are a lot of other places as well, but that is definitely at the top. I would also like to explore other places for similar reasons. Scotland, Denmark, Switzerland, close to the top.

I hope to see Sicily within a year or two. I need to save up some money and make some plans. Right now I am working six days a week not leaving me with a whole lot of time to plan anything long range. By the time I can take a vacation I will be more than ready to do so. I also want to see other parts of the US. I wouldn’t mind going east.

There is so much to experience that I haven’t. I think a part of writing is experiencing other places and people. We all need inspiration and sometimes getting away from our routine and our own lives is the best way to kickstart something new.

Where would you all like to go, or do?
